This is an English translation of official privacy statement of La Tuniña, the Spanish student music association at TU/e, located at De Lampendriessen 31, post box number 09, 5612AH Eindhoven, registered in the trade register of the Chamber of Commerce under number 40238365, hereinafter referred to as: La Tuniña. This is an unofficial translation provided for informational purposes only. In the event of any discrepancy, the original Dutch version shall prevail.
Whether you consciously or unconsciously share personal data with us, we believe it’s important that your personal data is handled with care. Therefore, in this statement, we’ve explained how we handle your personal data and what rights you have. La Tuniña complies with all applicable laws and regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This means that we will, at a minimum:
Process your personal data in accordance with the purpose for which it was provided, these purposes and types of personal data are described in this document;
Processing of your personal data is limited to only those data that are minimally necessary for the purposes for which they are processed;
Ask for your explicit consent if we need it for the processing of your personal data;
Have taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure the security of your personal data;
Do not pass on personal data to other parties unless this is necessary for the implementation of the purposes for which they were provided;
To be aware of your rights regarding your personal data, to point these out to you and to respect them.

La Tuniña has two documents containing your personal data. One document contains your:
This entire document will only be accessible to the current La Tuniña board. This document contains your information as it was known to La Tuniña before 2022, and your information will be updated if you inform the board of any changes.
The second document containing your personal data contains only the personal data you provided yourself via a Google form around September 10, 2022. This document has been shared with all former/current/prospective members of La Tuniña in the shared Google Drive: La Tuniña – Documentation .
Please note : If you want your information removed from the board file, the association will never be able to contact you again.
Personal name
La Tuniña processes your personal name to know which person she is speaking to.
Tuniña name
La Tuniña processes your Tuniña name to know which person she is speaking to in the capacity of ‘Tuniña life’.
Full address
La Tuniña processes your address to send you mail, cards (such as Christmas or birth announcements), or other La Tuniña-related items. In addition, if your address is shared in a shared Google Drive, members can look it up if a visit or rehearsal at your home has been arranged.
Phone number
La Tuniña processes your phone number to reach you or maintain contact with you. This communication method is the second most frequently used; email is the primary means of communication between member and association.
Email address
La Tuniña processes your email address to reach you and keep in touch. Your email address is used to keep you informed of club news, performances, and important announcements from the board. You can indicate your preferences regarding receiving emails via the board.
Date of birth
La Tuniña processes your date of birth to determine when to award you an age badge. Age badges received from the association (sunflower, dinosaur, fossil). La Tuniña processes your age pins received from the association to distribute the pins correctly: each Tuniña receives one pin for her 40th (sunflower), 50th (dinosaur) and 60th (fossil) birthday.
Photos
Photos may be taken during La Tuniña activities. These photos may be published on the website and/or via social media channels. By attending an activity, you agree to the publication or non-publication of photos depicting you. If you object to this, please inform the organizers. If you do not like any of the photos of you published on social media or Google Drive, they can be retrieved upon request from the association’s board of social media or Google Drive.
Other personal data
We only use other personal data if the association (whether or not represented by the board) needs it to perform its tasks, whether or not this arises from an agreement or arrangement between you and the association.
Without your consent, La Tuniña will only provide your personal data to third parties if this is necessary for the execution of the agreement La Tuniña has with you, unless La Tuniña is legally obligated to provide your personal data to these third parties. Situations in which La Tuniña provides your personal data to third parties include emergencies (for example, if medical assistance is needed) and the situations described under “Processing of Personal Data” (Google Drive).
You have the right to request La Tuniña to access your personal data (unless La Tuniña is not obligated to provide this access under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)) and to have your data supplemented, deleted, or shielded. Your data will then be removed from the specified La Tuniña document.
La Tuniña takes appropriate measures to protect your personal data against loss, unauthorized access, publication, and unlawful processing. We ensure that only necessary individuals have access to your data, that access to your personal data is protected, and that our security measures are regularly reviewed.
If you wish to register as a minor, you must obtain explicit permission from your parent or guardian.
The website may contain links to other websites. This Privacy Statement applies only to La Tuniña’s websites. Other websites may have their own privacy policies. La Tuniña recommends that you always consult the privacy statements of those websites before using them.
La Tuniña periodically updates its privacy policy to keep it up-to-date. The most recent version of our Privacy Statement will always be available on the website. La Tuniña therefore recommends that you consult the Privacy Statement regularly. La Tuniña will make every effort to inform you of any significant changes by email and through its websites.
If you have any questions about the processing of your personal data or would like to request La Tuniña to inspect, correct and/or delete your personal data, you can contact us using the contact details below:

All your information will be deleted from the address and mailing lists if you decide to leave the association permanently. Before leaving the association permanently, the above procedures apply.
If you have ever contacted La Tuniña as a customer or other external party (e.g., a fellow student association), your name, email address, and any other information you provided will remain in La Tuniña’s inbox. This allows you to easily retrieve information from previous requests or orders. If you no longer wish your contact information to remain in La Tuniña’s inbox, please contact bestuur@tunina.nl and indicate which information you no longer wish to share with La Tuniña.
We are also happy to assist you if you have a complaint about the processing of your personal data. If you have a complaint, you can inform the board via the contact person mentioned above. Under the GDPR, you also have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority about our processing of your personal data. You can contact the Dutch Data Protection Authority for this purpose.
